Summer sunset in Camargue

Sunset on Étang de Vaccarès in Camargue... a reward after another long, hot day.

The sun is on its way down and we are impatient... it's hot! At 8.20pm, the water is gold and the bright sun still aggressive. Half an hour later, the light is more gentle, typical of evenings in Camargue. Sunset today is at 9.27pm. But when the sun has set (the last picture was taken at 9.50pm), the sky and waters of the Vaccarès bathe in delicate summer sunset hues. Magical. Here in the heart of Camargue, every sunset is unique.
