Introducing Les Photos de Heather
I created this website and photo blog so you can flick through my pictures and share thoughts about them (create an account, join the Blog or use the Contact form).
I'll take you to Camargue, the Costières de Nîmes, the Languedoc-Roussillon coast and elsewhere to show you the wonders of the natural and man-made heritage here and give you a glimpse of the living environment and its changing skies and hues. As for the photographs, they are natural too; no filters, no post-production!
Memories and a tribute
Some memories can be symbolic.
As a child, in Ibstock, G.B., Sunday afternoons were special occasions. Grandma would draw the curtains and fetch out her slide projector to show us her snaps. She took lovely pictures and at a very young age, I remember being allowed to look through the viewfinder of her box camera. Years later, the privilege was upgraded to actually pressing the trigger of her black and chrome Kodak film camera...
I've always loved taking photos and always had a camera, from instamatics and other 35mm film cameras to DSLR. Snapshots here and there, season after season, nothing ostentatious, just souvenirs to share. A close friend would often say, "Heather, you should find a way of showing people your photos".
So here we go and I hope you'll enjoy seeing things the way I do!
