Wild almond blossom from grey skies to blue

February has been a mixture of grey skies and showers with short, shy sunny spells. Usually it is a month with blue skies and wild almond blossom galore and the camera is a must on every outing. This year, the trees are less loaded with flowers and instead of all being in flower at the same time, some have a few sparse flowers, even leaf buds, others have already shed their petals.

From sunrise to late afternoon, a few glimpses of almond blossom bathing in sun and in shade with its pure, wild simplicity taking us slowly but surely towards spring.
